FAQ.

06 QUESTIONS
01What is a cold-press oil press?+
An oil press that extracts oil using pressure alone, without applying heat. Because the oil temperature stays low at around 50–55°C, it helps minimize the loss of nutrients such as omega-3 and of aroma.
02What is the typical oil temperature in cold pressing?+
Based on National Engineering's cold-press equipment, extraction takes place in the range of about 50–55°C.
03What are the oil yields for sesame and perilla?+
Based on the cold-press method, sesame yields around 50% and raw perilla around 40%. Yields may vary depending on the condition of the raw material and operating conditions.
04What is the difference between cold press and hot press?+
Hot pressing can push yields higher by applying high heat, but it also increases the risk of oxidation and loss of nutrients and aroma. Cold pressing operates in the low-temperature range of 50–55°C, which is advantageous for preserving nutrients and flavor, while yields are comparatively conservative — a trade-off relationship.
05How do I choose an oil press by application?+
Since required throughput and capacity differ for home, mill, and factory use, choose based on hourly extraction volume and operating time. Selection criteria by application are covered in detail in our blog post "How to Choose an Oil Press."
06What kind of company is National Engineering?+
